Gavin Jackman

As Principal of Antinomies Pty Ltd, a strategic advisory firm specialising in reputation management, socio-political risk and crisis management, Gavin is counsel and partner to corporations and industry.

Gavin is a Board Member of the European Australian Business Council and a member of the Faculty at the Centre for Corporate Public Affairs, where he lectures executives working across the discipline.  Gavin is also an adviser to Homes for Homes and The Big Issue, social enterprises working with homeless and disadvantaged people to help themselves positively change their lives.

A senior executive with almost three decades’ experience working across international corporations, policy and politics, Gavin was Executive Global Head Corporate Affairs at Orica, where he had responsibility globally for the risk, environment, community, safety, government, legal, legacy remediation, company secretary and communications functions.  Prior to that Gavin was Group Executive Public Affairs at Santos Ltd, covering government, issues management, communications and community relations across the Group’s international operations and has also been Director Government Affairs for BP Australia where he focussed on downstream oil and gas businesses.

Gavin has held senior roles in key Federal departments and in government, including senior adviser to the Prime Minister and Chief of Staff to a Federal Cabinet Minister across several portfolios.
