EABC Organisational Profile
Purpose
The European Australian Business Council (EABC) was founded in 1999 to bring together various
business organisations and trade agencies supporting the Australia-Europe trade and investment
relationship, and corporations with significant commercial interests in Australian and European
markets.
Structure & Membership
EABC is an incorporated, not for profit organisation, whose membership includes Charter
Members, Corporate Members and members of the EABC Corporate Council.
Charter Members
Charter Members are organisations including bilateral chambers of commerce, business and
industry associations, embassies, trade commissions, consulates and other agencies promoting
Australia-Europe trade both at the EU-wide and bilateral levels. EABC Charter Members are:

Corporate Council
The EABC Corporate Council acts as a high level body of patrons of the EABC and its
programmes. Its members include representatives of Corporate Members and Charter Members,
other leading members of the business community, government officials and diplomats. For further

EABC Board
The EABC Board consists of representatives of EABC Corporate Members, Charter Members and
the Corporate Council. The executive committee includes office-bearers of the President, Vice-
President and Treasurer of the EABC.
